Reflections and Learnings: Assisted dying in Canada and the United States - November 2018

This is a report of meetings conducted in October 2018 in Canada, by PCA's Board members and CEO, with various organisations, health services, and information obtained through attending sessions related to the implementation of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) at the Montreal International Palliative Care Conference. The aim of the visit to Canada and the United States was to understand lessons Australia could learn from the implementation of assisted dying in these two countries, and the impact it had on palliative care, and patients at the end of their life.
