Pre-Budget Submission 2022-23

PCAs 2022-2023 Pre-Budget Submission draws on the Palliative Care Australia Roadmap 2022 – 2027 and identifies key investment opportunities for the Australian Government to support palliative care in the 2022–2023 Budget including:

  • growing the palliative care, health care, aged care and community care workforce
  • funding innovative and efficient models of palliative care delivery; and
  • increasing accessibility to palliative care.

The submission outlines the comprehensive investments that are needed to meet palliative care now and into the future as demand for services increases. Within this submission, PCA also provides aligned and smaller national projects for Australian Government funding consideration. These smaller scale projects provide opportunities to trial, pilot and evaluate measures that could later be expanded as part of more comprehensive measures to be implemented nationwide.
