Draft National Care and Support Economy Strategy

This PCA submission highlights opportunities to recognise and include palliative care in the National Care and Support Economy framework.

This can be done by:

  • Recognising the interconnections between palliative care, health, disability and community services, and fostering seamless care
  • Supporting unpaid carers
  • Enabling equitable access to palliative care including in regional and remote Australia
  • Responding to workforce challenges, including by providing palliative care training for aged care and disability care professionals, and via a comprehensive national palliative care workforce plan.
