Voluntary Assisted Dying in Australia - Guiding Principles for those providing care to people living with a life-limiting illness

Palliative Care Australia (PCA) acknowledges that voluntary assisted dying laws have been enacted in all Australian states.

Voluntary assisted dying poses many ethical, personal and professional issues for health professionals, care workers and volunteers who are providing care to people living with a life-limiting illness.

PCA proposes seven guiding principles of equal importance, to sit alongside legislation, organisational policies and/or professional codes of conduct.
