Spiritual Care: Integral to Palliative Care in Aged Care

A joint position statement from PCA and Meaningful Ageing Australia.

Spiritual Care is an integral part of palliative care. There are gaps in understanding about spiritual care across the community, including among aged care staff and leaders. Further education and specific funding is needed, to ensure appropriately trained staff are meeting the individualised psychosocial and spiritual needs of those receiving end-of-life care in aged care settings.
