PCA calls for expanded telehealth capacity for palliative care

PCA has provided a submission to the Department of Health calling for expanded telehealth capacity through the MBS to support palliative care patients.  This included calling for an expansion of existing palliative care MBS items (items 3004, 3010 and 3014).  This week, PCA is pleased to welcome the Government addition of Items 132 and 133 among a range of other measures.

PCA’s full submission also calls for augmentation or expansion of telehealth capacity for palliative care nurse practitioners, allied health and Aboriginal Health Workers. Read the submission here.
