Palliative Care Australia is getting a make over

Over the coming weeks you will notice a new look and feel to Palliative Care Australia’s (PCA) website, social media channels, and other communication materials.

Our current red and blue logo and branding have served PCA and the broader palliative care sector well for over a decade, but it’s time for something fresh and more contemporary.

“Built around the central emblem of an orange heart and the positioning statement ‘matters of life and death’ our new logo and branding seeks to capture the spirit and openness of the palliative care sector,” says Ian Campbell, National Communications Director, PCA.

“We road tested these designs during National Palliative Care Week last year and they were well received, so we are adapting them to suit our day-to-day identity.”

The orange heart has emerged as the new symbol of the palliative care community and captures the connection that health professionals and volunteers feel with patients and families. It has a history of being used as a symbol of care, warmth, close bonds, and admiration – which perfectly aligns with the values of the palliative care sector.

“Expect to see our orange heart more and more in the future, and we’d love to see how others in the palliative care community start to use it and get behind it,” Mr Campbell says.

PCA's new logo and branding is rolling out now and will continue over the coming weeks, with the aim of completing the transition before National Palliative Care Week, 19 – 25 May, 2024. Many of PCA's member organisations are also adopting the new look during 2024. Watch this space!
