National Palliative Care Week 2019
National Palliative Care Week 2019 was officially launched in Canberra with a beautiful morning tea at residential aged care facility, Villaggio Sant Antonio, to celebrate "What matters most".
During National Palliative Care Week (19-25 May 2019) all Australians were being ask to reflect on what would be most important to them if they became seriously unwell. This important annual awareness campaign highlights how palliative care can help people with a life-limiting illness to have a high quality of life, to the end of life.
A wide range of community events were held nationally as part of National Palliative Care Week to celebrate, acknowledge and thank everyone involved in palliative care for making such a difference in people’s lives.
