Join the Program Committee for 2025 Oceanic Palliative Care Conference – EOI now open!

Delegates attending a session at 23OPCC

The Oceanic Palliative Care Conference in 2023 brought together over 1400 delegates 'with the end in mind’ - it was our biggest conference ever.

It prompted crucial conversations, highlighted existing gaps, and facilitated discussions around innovative solutions and the importance of co-designing health services and policies.

At the heart of this success was a powerful conference program that featured over 215 speakers sharing new ideas, latest research, tools, resources, models of care and so much more! To continue this momentum, we need your expertise to create another impactful program for the 2025 Oceanic Palliative Care Conference in Brisbane. Our program committee will be ably chaired by Professor Jane Phillips from QUT and Karen Gower, a retired palliative care nurse practitioner. We are seeking people to join the committee who:

  • Can bring innovative ideas to the committee for discussion.
  • Are well connected into the palliative care sector and other areas of the health sector impacted by palliative care.
  • Can contribute to identifying and shortlisting keynote speakers.
  • Can support the development of the call for abstracts, including conference streams, presentation types, peer-review procedures, and standard for acceptance.
  • Can contribute to the abstract mentoring program.
  • Can promote the event to industry peers and colleagues through their networks, including via social media.
