Be the voice for better care and help us lead the discussion at the 2025 Oceanic Palliative Care Conference (25OPCC) in Brisbane from 10–12 September 2025. 

Palliative Care Australia (PCA), in collaboration with Palliative Care Queensland, invites you to share your work and experience and submit an abstract that gives voice to the theme; ‘connecting systems for better care’.   

At the heart of 25OPCC is a dynamic program of speakers, presentations, performances, and workshops; this is your chance to be part of that mix. Putting yourself forward in this way will grow and share your insights, connect you with other leaders in the health and care sectors, help develop new skills and confidence, and influence models of care and policy reform. 

We welcome abstract submissions from clinicians, academics, service managers, volunteers, consumers/patients, carers, and others. Whether you’re sharing new research, successful projects, lived experiences, innovative practices, or consumer stories, your voice matters. 

The conference theme will explore strategies to address fragmentation within health and care systems, fostering collaboration across sectors to deliver seamless, integrated care for people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses and their loved ones. 

Spanning Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Oceanic and Asia-Pacific regions – a diversity of voices is central to the success of 25OPCC, as is a diversity of abstract submissions for our review panel to consider.  

The Oceanic Palliative Care Conference has a proud legacy of bringing together our regional palliative care ecosystems, and with over 1200 delegates expected, you will help us shape the future of care.
