Palliative Care Australia (PCA) is the national peak body for palliative care in Australia, representing all those who work towards high-quality palliative care for all Australians. Working closely with consumers, state/territory-based Member Organisations and affiliates, the palliative care and broader health, aged care and disability care workforce, PCA improves access to and promotes the need for, palliative care.
Our office is located on Canberra Avenue in Griffith, ACT.
PCA is looking forward to welcoming an experienced Philanthropy Manager into this newly created role. This position is a 12-month contract and is part-time, up to two to three days a week. Preferred location is Canberra.
Reporting to the Business Operations Manager and working closely with the National Communications Director, this pivotal role is responsible for building PCA’s capacity, and the capacity of its member organisations around Australia, to improve the availability and access to palliative care for people living with life-limiting illnesses. The work will involve growing the funding base of the organisation through identifying, securing and managing new funding sources, including philanthropy, grants, donations and campaigns in line with PCA’s mission and strategic plan.
To be considered for this role, you will have significant demonstrated experience and knowledge of current and evolving trends in philanthropy and fundraising campaigns. You will be able to demonstrate your experience in developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies and leading a multi-channel fundraising portfolio.
