PCA recommends:

• Clarifying competency 4.2 to ensure off-label prescribing is recognised as a valid clinical choice in palliative care, not only when no registered medicine is available.
• Adjusting wording in competency 2.9(g) to balance concerns about medication diversion with the need to maintain access to essential medicines.
