Spiritual Care: Integral to Palliative Care in Aged Care

A joint position statement from PCA and Meaningful Ageing Australia regarding Spiritual Care and the integral role it plays in palliative care in aged care. There are gaps in understanding and the need for spiritual care. Education and further funding is needed to ensure appropriately trained staff are meeting the individualised psychosocial and spiritual needs of those receiving end-of-life care in aged care settings.
