Policy
Much of Palliative Care Australia’s work to promote issues for consumers, carers and the sector is done through developing policy and contributing to national policy debates.
PCA leads the policy debate on palliative and end of life care in Australia and engages with Members of Parliament in regular meetings and briefings.
PCA contributes to the policy debate in a variety of ways including:
- Presenting and making submissions to parliamentary committee inquiries
- Participating in consultation forums
- Presentations at conferences
Policy is developed through wide-ranging consultation with PCA Member Organisations, the PCA Board and the National Policy Advisory Committee.
