A Virtual Morning Tea with Special Guests
Join us for an exclusive virtual morning tea with His Excellency General, the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, Joint Patrons of Palliative Care Australia (PCA).
This interview will be conducted by Di Darmody, highly experienced ABC Perth Broadcaster and friend of PCA.
When: Monday 25 May 2020 from 10,30am – 11.30am AEST
This conversation will focus on the importance of “comfort, compassion and connection” in end-of-life care. It will seek to highlight how important it is to have a “holistic” approach to caring for seriously ill and vulnerable people – showcasing the importance of supporting (and respecting) people’s emotional, spiritual and cultural needs as part of their overall care.
The event will also give us a chance to gain exclusive insights into the extraordinary lives of our honoured Patrons and hear their views on issues of compassion and connection, which are particularly pertinent to the Australian community in the current COVID-19 environment.
This event is part of National Palliative Care Week 2020, which will take place Sunday 24 May – Saturday 30 May 2020, with the theme “Palliative Care: It’s more than you think!”.
We hope you can join us for this special event. Share & invite your family and friends.
