Palliative Care Australia Limited is inviting nominations for three vacant Elected Director positions on the PCA Board, with an election to be conducted at the Palliative Care Australia Limited Annual General Meeting on Thursday 22 October 2026. The AGM will be held via Microsoft Teams from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm AEDT. 

A position on the PCA Board is an opportunity to contribute to the governance, strategic direction and ongoing work of Palliative Care Australia as a dynamic peak national health organisation. 

PCA’s Board brings together Directors with a mix of skills and experience to support the organisation’s work. Board Directors act in the best interests of PCA and contribute to collective decision-making on organisational and strategic matters. 

Board Directors meet at least quarterly, face-to-face and by videoconference as required, to discuss PCA’s strategic direction, financial position, policies and other matters of importance. 

Board Directors are elected for a three-year term at Annual General Meetings. They are eligible to stand for re-election but may not serve more than three consecutive terms. 

Eligibility 

To be eligible, nominees must be individual financial members of a PCA State/Territory Member Organisation or PCA Affiliate Member. 

This eligibility requirement must be confirmed as part of the nomination process. 

Eligible nominees should have a genuine interest in PCA and the time, skills and experience to contribute to the work of the Board. 

Key dates 

Nominations open: 9:00 am AEST, Monday 13 July 2026
Nominations close: 5:00 pm AEST, Monday 17 August 2026
Election held: Thursday 22 October 2026, at the PCA Annual General Meeting 

Late nominations will not be accepted.

Nominees should review the PCA AGM and Election Notification 2026 and complete the PCA Board Director Nomination Form 2026. 

Completed nomination form, cover letter, short CV, photo and video must be received by the PCA Company Secretary by 5:00 pm AEST on Monday 17 August 2026.
