What is palliative care? It’s more than you think.

What do Australians know and understand about palliative care, and does community understanding about palliative care and its benefitspresent a barrier to accessing timely care? 

Palliative Care Australia together with our two Parliamentary Friends Co-Convenors, the Hon Nola Marino MP and Senator Catryna Bilyk, are delighted to extend an invitation to you to join our next Parliamentary Friends of Palliative Care event to be held during National Palliative Care Week. 

Our host, ABC presenter Di Darmody explored these issues, discussing the key findings from the latest survey examining Australians’ attitudes and awareness of palliative care, and reveal our innovative national education campaign - Palliative Care It’s more than you think. which has been created to challenge perceptions and engage the community in a conversation about the benefits of palliative care.
