30 Year of Impact: Insights to lead the future of Australian palliative care

  • December 1, 2021

Parliamentary Friends December 2021

This year, Palliative Care Australia celebrates 30 years of advocating for quality palliative care for all who need it, when and where they need it.

Over the course of 2021, we have acknowledged and celebrated the amazing dedication of all those working and volunteering in palliative care across Australia over the past 30 years. And as important as it is to mark this milestone, PCA also appreciates there is still much to be done to ensure palliative care is recognised and properly funded.

On 1 December, our next Parliamentary Friends of Palliative Care virtual event will capture the reflections and insights of former PCA Board Directors about the development of palliative care and the impact of PCA’s work over the last thirty years.

A panel session hosted by PCA CEO Camilla Rowland will feature PCA Chair, Professor Meera Agar, Professor of Palliative Medicine, University of Technology Sydney, Professor David Currow, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at University of Wollongong (Health and Sustainable Futures) and The Hon. Nola Marino MP, Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories.

This event is open to everyone.

The live webcast will be available on PCA’s YouTube on Wednesday, 1 December 2021, 4:30pm AEDT. We hope you will be able to join us.
