Time: 12:30 pm
Location: Online Webinar
All health and aged care workers and professionals play an important role in helping people plan for the end of life. But how do you approach these tender conversations with patients and their families? There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and finding the right way to communicate can be challenging.
If you want to build confidence and develop practical skills for having these important conversations, this webinar is for you!
This National Palliative Care Week (11-17 May), we’ve teamed up with our friends at Advance Care Planning Australia to bring you this special webinar. Together, we’ll take a deep dive into advance care planning, including:
- The principles underpinning contemporary advance care planning.
- Best practice communication strategies to initiate an advance care planning discussion.
- Using inclusive communication approaches which are sensitive to diverse situations and responses.
- Where to get information and resources to support your ongoing learning and practice.
Talking about death can be tough, but with the right tools and approach, you can have effective and more meaningful conversation with the people in your care.
