Aukahatia – Fostering Resilience, the 23rd Hospice NZ Palliative Care Conference, is the premier New Zealand based conference on the 2018 calendar and is a must attend for any healthcare professional involved in palliative care. The conference will take place from Wednesday 19 – Friday 21 September at the Cordis Hotel, Auckland.
Aukahatia honours and reinforces the importance of strength and resilience when it comes to the end of life. Strength and resilience is essential at an organisational and community level for those providing or using palliative care services.
This is your opportunity to hear from top international and New Zealand based speakers and network with over 300 palliative care professionals from a range of disciplines. The conference will be strategic, practical and forward thinking.
During the conference, delegates will be reminded of the importance and need to be part of a strong team and community to provide excellent end of life care to patients their families and whanau.

Who should attend?
Everyone is welcome, but the conference is aimed at health care professionals working for hospice (doctors, nurses, members of the multidisciplinary team) as well as GP’s, district nurses, researchers, educators, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, counsellors, social workers, art therapists, staff from DHB’s, and people working in aged residential care and primary care.
